I'm thrilled to share my experience with the MEWOOFUN Dog Buttons for Communication Starter Pack, which I have been using for my 13-year-old cat. These buttons have not only met my expectations but exceeded them in every way. Here's why I love them:Initially, I read that it could take approx. two months for a cat to start using these buttons, so I patiently introduced the "Food" button before each feeding. True to what I learned, exactly two months later, my cat began pushing the button! It was absolutely adorable. The MEWOOFUN Pet Buttons have the best design in the pet button department. They are well-made, user-friendly, and durable. The colors are much modern than other pet buttons. The recording function works great, and allows me to customize each button with specific phrases that resonate with my trilingual cat. This communication tool has transformed the way I interact with my furry companion. Witnessing my 13-year-old cat successfully engage with the buttons is heartwarming and shows a deeper level of understanding between us.Currently, I'm introducing the "Outside" button, and I'm excited to see how my cat adapts and expands his communication skills even further. In summary, the MEWOOFUN Pet Buttons for Communication have brought immense joy and cuteness to our daily routines. With their exceptional design and effectiveness, these buttons have become an invaluable tool for enhancing communication with my 13-year-old cat. If you're looking for a fun and efficient way to communicate with your pet, I highly recommend giving these buttons a try.
Love these. I bought the set of 3. At first, my dog (30 lb cockerpoo) had a hard time figuring it all out, all 3 together, (likely it was me the trainer that wasn't training him right ; ).... so I cut the foam mat and divided the set into 3 separate buttons, still keeping the separate buttons on their non-slip rubber mats. (it looks like real quality rubber non-slip mats by the way). Easy to cut mats with scissors. The items seem quite robust. Needs batteries. Might be too hard to use for a chiwuawa dog (spelling?) because it takes a bit of heft-weight to press that button. Takes batteries. I keep one button at the side of my couch where i often sit to do chair exercises, watch TV, laptop work, etc.. My dog knows that he always gets 2 cookie at night after his supper. He used to stare me down to get them, but now he is learning to use his treat button. So he is learning to use the button to remind me - It says "cookie", in my voice, exactly how I would usually say it, same voice, same nuanced tone. He already knows well, the word COOKIE, before I ever ordered these buttons. Your dogs need to know the words first too. I keep another separate button near the entrance door. He uses it to "go potty" when he needs to tell me. The 3rd is near his feeding bowl in the kitchen that says in my voice, "Suppertime!". (I don't make him use the button for his dry morning kibble, only his evening meal, which is always tastier). It is easy to train him to use these buttons, I find, now that I have separated them into 3 separate buttons. Before I put his bowl down at suppertime, I would look at my dog, and the button, and say to my dog, "touch it" and immediate, I would gently take his paw and press the "suppertime" button. Immediately, I praised him with my happy voice ("Yay! Good boy!") and I then immediately put his food bowl down for him to eat. It's super important to make each training session a positive one, and act the same for each button. He got the hang of using his 3 buttons pretty quick because each time, they come with a reward (supper, or cookies, or going outside potty). He caught on quickly, especially for his "cookie" button. I always used the SAME words "touch it" to train him. Always. I don't want to confuse him. Also, I always make sure he's watching his paw as I hold his paw briefly to press the button ONCE during training (I ensured he's not distracted by looking at me or elsewhere. He HAS to look at his paw pressing the button. I would direct his attention to the button, but I personally would NEVER press it (which would be confusing for him). It has to be him that presses it). Before I put him outside to do his potty, I would gently take his paw, and direct his attention to the button, and say "touch it", and press the "go potty" button with his paw, then I immediate say YAY, GOOD BOY! and open the door to let him outside immediately. The "reward" has to be immediate during his training. The actions and words I use always have to be the same (touch it), so as not to confuse him. It took him 2 weeks to learn that he has to press a button if he wants results. That's the stage I'm at now. All I say now is "touch it", and he does it. (sometimes he doesn't press it hard enough, to make the recording audible, so I would say, "touch it", and would attempt it again until the voice recording played. I no longer have to bend down and hold his paw to press the button. SUCCESS! Two weeks of training isn't bad. I don't have to take his paw anymore and touch the button with it. He does it himself after I say "touch it". I'll keep at it with him until he learns that he doesn't need me anymore to guide him. He'll just go to his buttons and express himself when he needs to. Before these buttons, he would come to me, silently stare at me until I noticed, and then I would react to his perceived needs. But I bet that sometimes, my perceptions were wrong: I still wouldn't necessarily know 100% what he wanted. Most of the time I would guess and follow through. thinking that he needed to go potty outside, or whatever. But honestly, maybe he just wanted his fave toy (rubber chicken) in his toybox that I keep in an upper shelf (toy box is kept on an upper shelf, otherwise I'd be tripping over 50 toys all day long). Or maybe he would be trying to tell me he wanted to chew a bully stick. I don't have buttons for those other things yet (toys, or bone chewies, or once a year, I notice his bowl is out of water, for example. Maybe I should get him a water button because he knows what water means.). But these buttons give him a voice which must be a game changer for him, really. Instead of patiently staring me down when I'm fixated on my laptop screen doing work, or whatever. And I really like that he now has a "voice" in a sense. So I'm thinking of getting more buttons once he's mastered the 3 that we currently have for him. Because he's such a good boy. : )
Excelente calidad.
